Types of lenses
Our Optometrist Laura can advise you on the best type of contact lenses for you. Options include:
- Daily Disposables Single use lenses, ideal for occasional wearers.
- Fortnightly Disposables Suitable for regular users. Take the lenses out at the end of the day and clean them, wear them again tomorrow and dispose of after a fortnight.
- Monthly Disposables Suitable for regular users. Take the lenses out at the end of the day and clean them, wear them again tomorrow and dispose of after a month.
- Extended Wear Lenses suitable for overnight or continuous wear for up to 30 days.
- Rigid Gas Permeable Lenses (RGP) Hard, non disposable contact lenses suitable for patients with more complex prescriptions and certain eye conditions.
We can also advise you on:
- Toric Contact Lenses For patients with an astigmatic prescription, these are available in most of the options detailed above.
- Multifocal Contact Lenses For patients with both distance and reading prescriptions. These are also available in most of the options detailed above.
